Mount Kilimanjaro
About Mount Kilimanjaro
Africa’s highest mountain at 5,895m, climbed on six routes with no technical skill required — only time, pacing and a strong crew.
Our climbs are operated by our sub-division, Summit Seekers. Every route is walked with a lead guide, assistant guides, a cook and porters, with daily health checks, pulse oximetry and supplementary oxygen carried throughout.

Highlights
Wildlife & landscape
Season by season
Jan – mid Mar
Warm, clear and quieter than the summer peak. Excellent visibility, cold nights above 4,000m.
Mid Mar – May
Long rains. We only recommend Rongai in this window, and success rates drop on the western routes.
Jun – Oct
The main climbing season: dry, stable and busy. Book Lemosho and Machame three to six months ahead.
Nov – Dec
Short rains through November, then a clear festive window in late December.
Practical notes
- •Altitude, not fitness, decides most summits — pick the longest route your dates allow.
- •Every climb carries supplementary oxygen, a pulse oximeter and a first-aid kit; guides run twice-daily health checks.
- •Park fees are roughly 60% of the cost of a climb and are included in every price we quote.
- •Budget 5–7 days of acclimatisation; the 8-day Lemosho has our highest summit rate.
